Grand Opening Of New South Charlotte Hearing Aid Company!

New South Charlotte Hearing Business

I am ecstatic to announce the grand opening of my new South Charlotte Hearing business, Levine Hearing! You may have seen the rumblings on social media, but I can finally announce a firm open date of July 30th, 2015! In fact, you are invited to a pArTy to celebrate with us!

Some of our friends will receive an invite in the mail, but I couldn’t pull all the people we love into a list this quickly, so please consider yourself invited if you are reading this! If you can’t attend, a like on Facebook, a follow on Twitter or Instagram and most especially a comment on this blog all really add up and help my pages get found online by others who need me, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!

People say that starting a business can feel a lot like childbirth. Now, I don’t have much to compare that? to, but the anticipation, excitement, and love are all there! The labor pains? Eh, not so bad when you think about the cute baby you get to take home at the end, right? I’m focused on the new patients that are going to walk in my door and become a part of my Levine Hearing family.

I love my job. I don’t know how to explain that without sounding incredibly cheesy, but it’s true. The honeymoon stage is over, and I still feel like I am doing what I am “supposed to do”. It’s because I get to work with new people every day, get to know them and meet their families.

It’s because I get to explore and become an expert with the newest technology, be a perfectionist at hearing testing and still break down my explanation to the patient in plain English (roll all my strengths and flaws together and they fit the bill perfectly!). When they exclaim that no one has ever spent the time to explain their test to them that way, it just reinforces that I am doing the right thing.

The very best part of my job is the absolutely life changing effect that better hearing has on my patients. The worst thing about hearing loss is that it is often times gradual, so it can sneak up on a person without them really realizing it. The brain tries to make sense of this slow change, but when the person doesn’t catch all of the chatter at bridge or they miss the joke at a family dinner, they might not realize it is their hearing.

In those early stages, it is more common to think people aren’t paying enough attention to speak directly to them, or they may feel paranoid that others are talking about them. As time goes on, they start feeling more and more left out, distanced from the ones they love most, but they can’t put a finger on why.

They may not even know what they are missing…and that is hopefully when I get to do a hearing test, explain some hard facts to them and show them exactly what they have been missing. It is life changing. I’ve got tons of stories I could share, but let’s just say that there are a lot of tears, laughs, and hugs in my business.

Enough with the mushy stuff (I could talk about it all day!). Here are a few pictures of our progress.

Thank you for all the calls, texts, and support the last few months. Hearing screenings are free so if you just want to get checked out or if you have a friend or relative who has been putting it off, give them my number and I promise to treat them well 🙂 I’m focused on becoming a part of the broader Charlotte community, providing South Charlotte hearing tests, tinnitus evaluations, cleaning and repairing any brand of hearing aid and giving back as often as possible in the community.

Hi! I’m Madison. I’m a Hearing Instrument Specialist (like my mother). I’m observing, learning, absorbing and sharing as I become a part of this beautiful South Charlotte Hearing community. I want to know you! So please leave me comments if my posts are meaningful to you or teach you something new, and feel free to tweet me at @LevineHearing!
