Gloria’s Story – Hearing Gives Me Confidence

Gloria Clark grew up in little Aberdeen, North Carolina.  She moved to Charlotte in 1957 and later graduated from UNCC to become a teacher for CMS in elementary education.  Her talents were luckily shared in the public school system for 30 years and then invested for another 11 years teaching at Charlotte Christian.

About Gloria

Passionate and totally immersed in whatever role she finds herself in (wife, mother, teacher, sister, friend, etc.), Gloria is someone that lights up a room. She loves life and brings love, joy, peace, and a host of other attributes to those she serves. She loves to “cut up” and make others laugh!

Gloria’s hearing journey began 15-20 years ago.  She found herself having to ask people to repeat themselves, including students.  She had hearing tests at another clinic but just wasn’t ready to take action. She managed to “get by” but the lack of clarity in conversations really wore on her.

She met Madison after reading about her practice in the paper. She said, “I was immediately impressed and interested in the passion, commitment, and knowledge Madison had for her field—similar to my passion as a teacher!  I am usually not so easily swayed by ads, etc., but there was something so sincere and different about Madison’s testimony and background. I was totally comfortable and confident in her hands.”

“Delighted” with her Starkey hearing aids, she loves the technology of Bluetooth features that allow her to connect with her iPhone to make adjustments herself.  Most importantly, Gloria loves the clarity of sounds and voices. She is enjoying the confidence that comes from knowing what people are saying rather than having to guess.
