I am happy to see there are tons of senior meetup groups active in Charlotte! I first joined Meetup.com when I moved to California and didn’t know a soul! I started my own group in Davis, CA, The WinoBeeroFoodos. People joined the group online, and we met in person and had a blast exploring wine country, going to movies, out to dinner and more! Yes, you meet random people from the internet, but this is much more mainstream than it sounds and you are meeting whole groups of people in public places. You can find all kinds of groups with common interests and make new friends!
