Well said! I know growing up I noticed how derogatory people can be toward people with hearing loss. It’s just imitate to remember that any amount of frustration you feel when dealing with someone else’s hearing impairment is felt ten fold by the person with the loss.

Thank you for the comment Ray. That is a great way to look at it. Hopefully it brings kindness when we become aware that our own feelings of discomfort in not being understood or in having to make small accommodations like raising our voices or speaking slower are really much less significant than the feelings of the person with the hearing impairment.
